Device control - More verbosity

Hello, I managed to create a group and a rule in the device control module to allow mounting an USB stick storage. Can I enable more logs verbosity to see activities logs (like read, remove, modified files) done by current user (me) on the USB stick storage (in the "Tools > Logs files > Device control") I did set the following settings : Setup > Advanced setup > Protections > Device control, edit my allowed rule and set Verbose level on Always Setup > Advanced setup > Tools > Log files > set Minimum logging verbosity on Diagnostic Setup > Advanced setup > Tools > Diagnostics > Enable Enable Device control advanced logging So far, I'm not seeing advanced logs activity in the device control log viewer. I'm using ESET Endpoint Security v11.0.2032.0 (with ESET Protect Advanced trial license) Thank you for your support

I'm running ESET Protect on-premises for some years now. The server is a VA, updated to the latest version over time. Over the last months I'm having the exact same problem as described in the following thread (unfortunately closed). Studying the thread, I can see that our Apache version is probably affected: # httpd -v Server version: Apache/2.4.6 (CentOS) How can we upgrade apache alone, without breaking the VA?

Deslock 5.0 and Intune Wipe / Fresh Start

We have some old laptops in a remote office that we don't have the Admin password for Deslock so I can't adopt them and remove the encryption. If I add them to Intune and do a Fresh Start or Wipe will that remove the encryption?

ESET application installed but not listed under Installed Applications

This issue appears to be specific to OS X and the EI Connector in EP Console. In this case, ESET icons indicate the product is installed (see pic below). EI Console shows the connecter installed and checking in, EBA Console shows current activation of the correct version, etc. It's just not listed in 'Installed Applications', which throws off our dynamic groups because EP Console thinks that it's not installed:

Network attack protection (IDS) is non-functional

We sometimes get the below warning. So far we noticed this on Endpoint Antivirus 10.1.2050.0 and 10.1.2058.0. It is an intermittent problem, so we can't reproduce this, and it seems to affect random devices... never the same ones. It always happens after a notebook is started and the message always clears after a reboot. All our notebooks are on Windows 10 22H2. This is a new phenomenon that only started recently (November/December). I can't really say much about v11 yet as we only have a handful of devices on that version. Is anyone else seeing this? What can be done to prevent this? Is there a way to fix this without having to reboot the endpoint? Thank you.

ESET Protect OnPrem Repository not available?!

We've been getting the following error for a few days now I have already tried rebuilding the installer. The process then runs through, but as soon as I want to download the installer, the error message mentioned above appears. The clients can no longer be provided with the new versions remotely; there is also a repository error here. Everything is set to “AUTOSELECT” and the “Metafile” mentioned can also be downloaded. Does somebody has any idea?

Disable Windows Defender before installing ESET Endpoint?

Simple question: Before installing ESET Endpoint Protection Standard on a new Windows machine, do I need to disable Windows Defender? My new machine is running Window 11 Pro. I saw Windows Defender discussed in a number of threads, but I still wasn't clear if I needed to manually disable or not. I think Windows itself may do this automatically when a third-party AV is installed, but I wanted to be certain. Thank you.

Dear Team, I just installed my ESET PROTECT on-prem server and made a policy to encrypt my notebooks. I tested read-write speed with CrystalDiskMark on Windows 10 with a NVME SSD. It's a regular one, not a self-encrypting device. I disabled the protection on the notebook completely. The speed difference is significant compared to Bitlocker. SEQ1M Q8T1 READ with Bitlocker: 1742 MB/s READ with ESET FDE: 1012 MB/s WRITE with Bitlocker: 1464 MB/s WRITE with ESET FDE: 1006 MB/s SEQ1M Q1T1 READ with Bitlocker: 1066 MB/s READ with ESET FDE: 237 MB/s WRITE with Bitlocker: 1065 MB/s WRITE with ESET FDE: 487 MB/s Is it possible to tune ESET FDE somehow without using OPAL disks? ECC instead of RSA with ESET PROTECT on-prem

Eset keeps blocking RDP from different computers.

My client has a computer that needs to be accessible through RDP from random locations and random computers. I have opened and allowed RDP and port 4002 both directions in Eset firewall. If it is a PC that logged in though RDP in the past (was allowed manually in Eset after first attempt was blocked ) it can reconnect without any problem. However every time my client changes location as he travels a lot, his access gets blocked. Is it because his IP is changing? And how do I stop this Eset behavior. Thank you, D13

ESET Rogue Detection Sensor won't go through set ip range

Hi, we have the rds installed inside one vlan, but the vlan doesn't have any restrictions to access other vlans. And it still captures one group of IPs instead of the range we specified in the policy. We tried to enable active detection, but didn't go well. Any suggestions to do? I have eset protect (web version). I can roll out the agent via intune to my win 64 clients (laptops) What I now want is for any laptop that runs this agent (which automatically puts it in a group 'laptops') to auto install Eset Endpoint Protection Is this possible? regards Roga
