ESMC Office 365 Settings not working for SMTP

I've tried every setting imaginable to get the SMTP settings to work with my Office-365 email account. I think the Authentication needs to be SSL but that is not a selection and none of the other settings will work. I saw another post here from back in July a year ago, but there was no resolution. I'm going to contact the partner support tomorrow, but I sure would have liked to have found an answer right away, and I hope that someone will reply back here with a solution for someone else. If I find an answer I'll post the solution back here too.

Unable to upgrade ESET agent to Version

We have ESMC working on version 7.1.717.0. I am trying to upgrade all my agents(7.0.577.0) and security products (7.0.2096.0) to agent 7.1.717.0 and security product to 7.2.2055.0 through update module task. Unfortunately, the task completes successfully but on the target machine, the agent and security product stays on the same version. I believe that module upgrade task is not working any more. Can you recommend best method to upgrade agent from 7.0.577.0 to 7.1.717.0 and security/file security product in bulk of machines in effective way.

High CPU usage

Hello, few weeks ago I upgraded antivirus to 7.1 actually it is version 2053. I am runing latest updated windows 10. Since upgrade I have issues with CPU usage, in task manager I see ESET Service consuming approx. 30-35% cpu for hours. The issue was not before upgrade. Last week I switched over to new notebook, and I the issue is here even with brand new notebook, 4 core cpu is approx. 30% cpu usage. This activity can last for hours, notebook cpu is hot and fan is noisy. It is very annoying. Sometimes this does not happen for days, but sometimes it lasts hours. I would like to know how can I see eset logs to see what is causing this activity, if I can get rid of this somehow. Before upgrade I did not even know I run the Eset antivirus, it was so low cpu usage. Thanks !

Windows version 1903 - Registration to Windows Security Center was not successful

Hello, This morning all clients that upgraded to Windows 1903 get this warning: In ESMC console there is no such indications. a. Which is correct the warning or the ESMC console? b.Is this warning some issue between windows version 1903 and endpoint 7.1.2053.0 and 7.2.2055.0? Thanks, Peter

Clients reporting license expiring soon

We recently got the ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Mac license extended for another year and it looks fine in the license manager site however many of our client machines are reporting locally that their license will expire at the end of the month. Will these machines automatically update the license expiration date? Is there documentation about that?

Has this software been tested before release?

I have 2 "installs" of ESMC. Both were at v7.0. Install 1 - Set up at a remote customer's site. All was working. Didn't access system for a couple weeks. Go to log on and can't bring up console. Apache Tomcat isn't running. Tried manually starting it. No go. Waste a times messing with it. Finally figure I'll just uninstall and reinstall. After uninstall Tomcat is still there. Googling and finally find a way to manually uninstall it. Go to reinstall ESMC and it thinks Tomcat is still there (service and folders are gone). Spend more time trying repair, removing SQL, etc. Finally just give up. Maybe I'll just let that network update directly from ESET. I won't have management capability but I'm questioning if it is worth the time. Install 2 - I'm warned I need to upgrade. Try to upgrade and I get "Installation failed. Do you want to uninstall installed components" immediately. Maybe I'll just ignore the upgrade warnings. Yeah, I know I can call support blah blah blah blah. This all burns time I need to use elsewhere. I'm must be unlucky as it seems every time I have an upgrade/systems change ESET just burns time.

ESET endpoint security activation: Can't input symbols

My company buys the ESET Endpoint Security and I just want to activite it with the License KEY(4*5set characters with alphabet, symbol and numbers.) But the License KEY input box refused symbol input (Can not type in). Even I paste the correct Key, the input box would delete symbol automaticly and leave the alphabet and numbers. I downloaded the latest ESET version and OS is Windows 7 x64. Any sugguestion will be welcome.

Dynamic group to find expired licenses

Hi there. Im trying to create a dynamic group in our SMC to show me all servers that have a licenses status of expired. Does anyone know the correct expressions to use as I appear to not be able to make a correct on. thanks.

Accumulation of computers showing "ESET LiveGrid is not reachable" requiring a server reboot to fix

Hello, We updated our ESMC server to version 7.1.717.0 last week and since then we need to reboot it every 1-2 days to unblock the clients which cannot contact "ESET LiveGrid" anymore. Over the day, an overgrowing number of clients report the issue "ESET LiveGrid is not reachable". Rebooting the server fixes the issue immediately. This happens with up to date clients (antivirus and agents) and not yet up to date clients. We made no change to our network infrastructure. Do I need to care about my Windows server DNS cache ? Hi i cant update over the Server Task (2 different errors): ReadUpgradeStatus: Upgrade of Agent from version '7.0.577.0' to '7.1.717.0' failed. Unexpected updater service Win32ExitCode 0x435 ReadUpgradeStatus: Upgrade of Agent from version '7.0.577.0' to '7.1.717.0' failed. Updater ServiceSpecificExitCode is 22: (0x16), Das Gerät erkennt den Befehl nicht How to solve this? Any ideas? I look on the Server and see there seems to be a problem with the services. A endless runing "close service..." for two services: EraAgentSvc and EraServerSvc and a new process "...ESET SECURITY ... UPDATE..." witch is set to manuell and not start. Is it a good idea to run/use the all in one updater? Last time i must setup Apache again and all certs where gone. OS is: 2012R2 with SQL Express 2016 thx for help

ESET Endpoint Antivirus MacOS Full Disk Access

Hello, I'm looking for a way to remotely enable Full Disk Access to ESET Endpoint Antivirus for MacOS. We use an MDM (Workspace ONE/AirWatch), and there doesn't appear to be an obvious way to set this. I have a ticket with them as well. Has anyone been able to accomplish this using a script or some other way? Thank you,

Hello, After update from 7.0 to 7.1 EAMC (linux OS) i having problem with leaving duplicated old version of Agents when i deploy new version on server task . I cant uninstall old version. All components on EAMC server are updated.

Offline help for ESMC 7.1 not work properly

Hi, After upgrading from ESMC 7.0 to 7.1 using all-in-one installer and installing Offline help for ESMC 7.1, the help works, but not properly. When pointing to help from Web console web link is incomplete and allways opening begining of help. For example, when pointing from Dashboard in Web console (HELP -> Dashboard - Help), the end of link is "index.html?dashboard". It should be "index.html?dashboard.html" as it was in ESMC 7.0. Missing ".html" at the end. Question is what needs to change in order for the Web console to open correct offline help html file. Thanks in advance PS. Versions: ESMC: 7.1.717.0 Web console: 7.1.393.0 Windows Server 2016

ESET 7.0 to 7.1 upgrade problem.

Hi all, I have problem during upgrading my ERA VA console. Server and agent are updated but is still problem with Web interface. I get information "Web Console version (7.0) is different from Server version (7.1).Please update Web Console and/or Server to the same version. Otherwise, you may encounter errors and unexpected behavior. " Could you help me? My error log is: "ReadUpgradeStatus: Upgrade infrastructure task failed: Failed to upgrade WebConsole with: GetFile: Failed to process HTTP request (error code: 20014, url: 'hxxp://repository.eset.com/v1/com/eset/apps/business/era/webconsole/v7/7.1.393.0/era.war')" I can ping this host without problem. Thanks! :)
